Now its my second week blogging about social media experiences. In the last week, I did lots of social posts covering Euro 2024 football event in Munich. I was live at the event, taking photos, videos and posting them on social media. There were about 7000 Dutch fans making a big Fan parade in downtown Munich. It was very a nice atmosphere, full of music, laughter, joy and I got to know how much fun Dutch people can be!

Event photos, like above, I posted on social media right after taking them – this way the content is very fresh and live. The videos that I took during the event were rather long and needed some edits before posting. So a good time to post them is after one gets home and edits them with professional software. In my case, I am using Adobe Premier Pro. I usually post my videos and shorts on Ganjingworld platform (my platform of choice) and them link them to X or other Social Media. But at other times, I post directly to X – it depends on the mood. Here is the link to the video that I published: GJW
During last week, I also changed my profile description on X. I felt that the old description was a bit boring and was not given the user any interest. So I changed it do capture what I exactly do with my X. See below. I am reporting on the events such as Euro Football, so that is exactly what I am doing – why not put it into the description. At this moment of time, I am not sure if that description makes sense to others, I guess I will find out as time goes.

As of today, I am having 29 followers; last week it was 15 followers, so almost 200% growth. Although its a very small amount, but for an absolute beginner like me its a small success.
In parallel with X, I also created a Facebook page: address here: (1) Facebook
I am planning to also post material on Facebook. The goal is to add to my X postings other content in order not to overcrowd X. For example, on the football event, I took hundreds of pictures and videos. It would probably be annoying to my followers to post all of them on X. Therefore, a part of them will be posted on Facebook page. Plus, there is different crowd on Facebook compared to X and I will get more exposure.
Actually, as soon as I posted some of the Oranje (Dutch) fans videos on Facebook page, I got a top fan badge from a famous Dutch football Fan page. That definitely feels like a small success story!
Top Fan Badge is given to an individual who is a very active follower. It’s an automatic choice made by Facebook algorithm to award the most engaged fan. According to Techcult page (Who Gives Top Fan Badges on Facebook? – TechCult), the advantages of top fan are:
That is all for today.
